Tea For Two?

Afternoon Tea at the Grand Hotel Brighton? Yes Please!!!

My best friend, Lucy and I took a trip to Brighton and had afternoon tea at the Grand Hotel which was (of course!) very grand. It was Lucy's birthday treat and so I let myself off and had a cheat meal. Although I did go for a run in the morning and went to Body Attack as well to compensate for the clotted cream scones and all the other naughtiness that afternoon tea involves, which I was very proud of myself for. I have recently learnt that it is okay to over indulge occasionally but I will try to compensate the extra calories by working out before hand. That way it isn't so bad.

We were very lucky and had a place set in the conservatory which over looks the West Pier. We sipped tea and chatting about everything girls do as the sun went down. It was beautiful!

A naughty Presecco each as a little tipple before we started the main event! It would be rude not to really!

The hand made cakes, scones and sandwiches were exquisite. We thoroughly enjoyed every bit of the food which had been so well thought out. There was definitely more than enough for two, and at times we thought we weren't going to be able to taste everything but we did .... It was a team effort though of course!

The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas and we were lucky to hear this man play the piano throughout our visit. I have never seen a Christmas tree this size! Isn't it huge!!

If you are in Brighton and looking for something to do to catch up with family or friends, I really recommend booking into the Grand for an Afternoon Tea sitting.

10 out of 10 rating from us!
